Last Friday the kids and I baked cookies and made lemonade for an old fashioned lemonade stand. We loaded up the wagon and first delivered cookies and lemonade to our neighbors, then headed to the park for the official "stand". They worked really hard and on the way home ran from shade tree to shade tree to escape the heat, pulling and pushing the wagon and stroller. When we got home their faces were beet red and they finished every last drop of the lemonade and then headed to the cool basement. I found them all sprawled out recovering from the heat!! It was a whopping 76 degree day that day! I just had to shake my head and say you have no idea what heat really is.
