A Good Woman and the Playfulest Big Man Ever

We enjoyed a wonderfully fun and sweet visit from my grandparents last week. At dinner the first night we all sat down. After the prayer Micah look at Grandma for a moment and said "Grandma, you are a good woman." We all smiled and went on with our meal. A few minutes later he looked at Grandpa and said, "Grandpa, You are the playfulest big man EVER." Those of you who know my grandparents will know that he had them figured out from the start!

After getting pummeled by Grandpa in the pillow fights--Katie and Micah decided to join forces and plot their attack in the bathroom. They came out--but little did they know that grandpa had been doing some plotting of his own--he hid ready for ambush!
Micah gets a taste of the pillow action!A little threat of eating her toes and ears sent Katie into frenzied squeals!Katie and Micah strike back...A little one on one between Grandpa and Micah.Grandpa gets her again.Eventually Mama had to bust up the pillow fights gone wild to spare the ears of the rest of the adults around and Katie and Micah discovered another talent of Grandpa's--the passing down of the oral tradition...
Katie and Micah were enthralled by story after story and are recreating them in their journals (to be blogged about soon).

Apples Apples Everywhere!

Grandma was sure they had missed the apple harvest this year but they were still abundant--it only took us a few minutes to fill our basket.

Grandma LOVES apples! She says this photo is like looking at her mother.

We promised ourselves we would just pick one bushel--but who can resist crisp tasty apples--we ended up with two!
