The Kearns': Christmas with the Prescotts

Christmas 08 at the Prescotts was a very joyous occasion. My stinker brother informed us a week prior to Christmas that there was absolutely no way he would be able to come home for Christmas. But when Katie woke up Christmas morning and discovered "a big bald guy brushing his teeth downstairs" we all squealed with delight and ran for hugs. He traveled for four days (1900 miles one way) to make it home all for festive mint brownies and eggnog. Everyone agreed--having him home was the best Christmas present of all!

We soon delved into our stockings and presents--here is Amy with her favorite stocking stuffers--a little irregular don't you think?

Joseph and Mandy traveled all the way from Alabama to be here--they surprised us a day early--lying all the way! Here they are looking at a photobook of little Jackson.

She's such a good big sister--she split the

earplugs with Micah so he could listen too.

Oops--Josh (who cuts human tissue all day long as an occupation) managed to puncture his own hand opening Micah's rifle. After an hour it was still gushing blood so we made a quick trip to the ER for a couple of stitches. He returned to work Friday (with the help of ibuprofen) and is pretty much back to normal by now.

Josh (still a little pale from the previous incident) finds a skoal can--empty of course--in his stocking. The guy at the bait store gave it to me to keep his waxies for ice fishing in.

Micah and his John Deere Gator! Santa collaborated with Boby and Papa for this one. He makes daily trips to the church gym to ride and even busted out into the parking lot last night after quite a bit of ice had melted off.

He even let Katie drive although it was a feat stuffing her long legs in! Those of you who know Micah well, will see that he is, as usual, checking out the wheel motion as he rides.
