Rock Creek

We are definitely beginning to reap the benefits of living close to family.  Over the labor day weekend we spent time camping, fishing and kayaking with both of our parents, my sister and our nephews--it was great fun!
Amy's work of art--fruit pizza--YUMMY!!!!  It was such a hit she made two!!
My two little paddlers (Katie Grace and nephew Tyson) were hard at work!  I'm just along for the ride!
Ty got worn out--there goes my free ride!
Josh over a crappie hole at Rock Creek--okay so they weren't Minnesota pounder crappies but there were lots of them!
Cuddles and smiles from Ki ki loo la and Auntie Amy.
Katie Grace sporting Papa's glasses and Bobi's hat.
Auntie Amy and her loverboy.
Auntie gets smooches from Micah.
Katie Grace's winning smile!
Bobi sunnin, fishin and relaxin on the barge--wearing Papa Tubbs hat.
Katie Grace at the helm--this is her focus face!
I'm not sure what he has in mind for this little guy, but I'm sure glad I wasn't born a minnow!
With a little guidance from Papa we managed to miss hitting the beach and numerous boats!
Micah--hooking Amy's minnow for her.  She didn't mind touching them but just couldn't bring herself to hook them.  After many protests, Katie (her usual baiter) said well, Amy, its not like were killing them--the fish do that part.
Skipper Katie!
Nana and the little men--Caden and Micah.
Keeping the peace between two very anxious little paddlers!
My father in law, Keith, testing the waters in his new kayak.
This must be where Josh, Katie and Micah get their determined face.
Go Keith Go!!
My mother in law, Lavonne and a great laugh.
Lavonne, kayaking like a pro!Now its my turn--a little different than kayaking the Sea Caves of Lake Superior--at least I managed not to flip!
My nephew, Tyson came to my rescue and pulled me ashore so I wouldn't crash land into the water as Josh waited expectantly with the camera for my big splash--atta boy, Ty!
Micah and Boogie diligently studying a dinosaur map--because you never know when you might just unearth one.
