TEXAS!!!

The kids and I made a mad dash to Texas last weekend for my cousins wedding.  We spent Friday night and Saturday with Grandma and Grandpa Prescott.

Katie's note:  I took this picture of Grandpa's big smile--it was hard to get a picture of him though because he doesn't like to smile for the camera.Katie's note:  It was really easy to take this one of sweet Grandma because she likes to smile for the camera.Pillow fights and relentless tickling are a must when Grandpa is around!Katie has discovered that the only safe zone from Grandpa Hurston's pillow attacks is next to Grandma Elsie!Katie and Micah gang up on Grandpa!
Micah and Grandpa fighting it out.Safe!Uncle Steve walking my cousin Erin down the aisle--he worked very hard to be able to do this on his new leg.Grandpa did a beautiful job performing Erin's wedding ceremony.

Sunday morning we woke up early and drove to Hamilton to worship with Grandma Tubbs!  We stayed for potluck and then Grandma and I went to her house for a visit and watched the Mavericks--she is an avid fan!
Micah studied my cousin Matt closely and by the end of the day could do a mean Matt impression!

Matt took Micah on few laps on the go cart before we turned him loose on it solo.
Micah--born for speed--is looking to see if I am going to make him stop speeding--a couple of crashes and he slowed down a tad bit.
Katie Grace enjoyed it too--although she is super cautious.
Sweet Carley
Carley and Katie were friends from the moment they met--kindred spirits no doubt.  They spent a good amount of the time playing in the tank--paddling from island to island and getting good and filthy!
Matt and his girl Betsy--she is a sweetheart!
Me and my Aunt Pam

I couldn't resist some cowboy shots of Matt as the sun went down.
Sunset over Blue Ridge and our time in Texas is over--
we made the trek back to Iowa the next day.
