Snow Play

The weather has been beautiful lately--lots of snow, above zero and not too much wind.  Today, however is a different story.  I had to pick up the 50 pound dog and throw her out the door in order to get her outside for her morning business--its so cold she refused to go out.

-17 with a -46 windchill---BBBBRRRRR!!!  We're hoping the winds die down a bit for shoveling later--for now we are hunkering down and keeping warm inside.

Josh has been taking the kids on little snowmobile rides.  At first they just made some loops around the yard.
He discovered a local park with some decent riding area and access to trails.  Josh and Micah blaze a trail through the fresh snow!
Katie's turn--she said she had to close her eyes a lot--Josh said they only caught air once or twice!
Off they go!
Through the park!
This is just one small portion of the live Dennis-the-Menace cartoon that is our yard!  I had to giggle one night after a fresh snow when I looked out the window and saw tracks everywhere and no boy in sight--then at the very corner of the yard there was Micah on all fours plowing his trail.
Complete with dashed lines, obvious pit stops and the mischievous little boy who made them.
Katie joins Micah for a snow angel stop.
Worn out from a thorough romp in the snow!
